The Barcoo Riverside Camp is located on the banks of the mighty Barcoo River on the edge of town. Camping is only $10 per spot per night (max 3-night stay). Full details can be found on the Visit Blackall – Tambo website.
The River Camp Show
During the tourist season Bushies Blackall Tours offers Bushies Twilight Show on Sunday evenings at 5:00pm.
In the show you will hear original ‘yarns in verse’ of characters & events that are unique to our outback way of life.
Show Details
Bushies River camp show is held each Sunday afternoon during the Tourist Season. First show May 7th 2023 and weekly thereafter.
- The show kicks off at 5:00pm
- Bring something to sit on and something to drink.
- Booking are helpful just to know numbers, but they are not essential.
- Hear cracking yarns about life and times in the outback from those who live there.
- Ask questions and learn Bush skills like how to crack a whip, cook in a camp oven, or repair a vehicle with a pair of pliers and a piece of number 8 wire 🙂
- Sit back and enjoy the show.
- The show is free, but in true Bush style, a hat will be passed around for your contribution.
